Registration in CONS3RT is self-service and described in this KB Article. Once registered, the new account request is pending approval by the CONS3RT team.
We typically recommend that new CONS3RT users use their .mil or .gov email address to register for CONS3RT as this streamlines the account approval process. If this is not possible, please actively follow the steps below to ensure your account is approved in a timely manner.
Once the new CONS3RT account is pending approval the CONS3RT team reviews all accounts in the queue, and approves them according to the criteria below:
If you registered with a .mil or .gov email address
If you registered with a .gov or .mil email address, no action needs to be taken. Your account will be approved by the CONS3RT Community Manager.
If you registered with a commercial email address
If you registered with a commercial email address, please take action on one of the following options:
Option A: Self Approval
If you own a .mil or .gov email address, please simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org from your .mil or .gov address to approve yourself. Please include your CONS3RT username and registered email in the support request.
Option B: Sponsor Approval
If you do not have a .mil or .gov email address, please notify your government sponsor to send an email approval to email@example.com. If you’re unsure who your government sponsor is, please reach out to support and we can help track that down.
- Typically, account approvals are processed same-day unless posted after office hours. If your account has not been approved within 24 hours, please review options A and B listed above and ensure your account doesn’t fall into a category that requires additional action.
- Pending account approvals are cleared every 30 days. If no communication is recieved, that registration request is released and the user will have to re-register for an CONS3RT account.
- Users who let their account expire (no account login for 30 days) will also have to go through the process of reactivating their account, and the relevant steps above. See this KB for details.
- If you have any questions processing your account approval, contact support and cc your government sponsor if applicable.
